Raised as the son and grandson of pastors in Western New York, Paul Engle had abundant exposure to the church and to the calling of pastors. That undoubtedly combined with the call of God to lead him into decades of pastoral and teaching ministry.
He earned his undergraduate degree at Houghton College (NY), his Master of Divinity at Wheaton College Graduate School (IL), and his Doctor of Ministry at Westminster Theological Seminary (PA).
Dr. Engle is an ordained minister who has pastored churches in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Illinois, and Michigan. He developed a passion for God-centered worship and expository preaching. He also has served in an executive position at Zondervan publishing to equip church leaders with resources.
Dr. Engle has taught as an adjunct and visiting instructor and professor at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Knox Theological Seminary, New Geneva Theological Seminary, Reformed Theological Seminary, and Dallas Theological Seminary. He serves as a visiting instructor at African Bible University in Uganda, and with Carey International Graduate School of Theology in the Philippines, East Asia, and Cuba. He also is involved in teaching church leaders in Egypt and Israel.
Along the way he has written 9 published books including When God Draws Near: Exploring Worship from Seven Summits, and The Baker Wedding Handbook.
